She did her initial yoga training with Kia Miller in Rishikesh, India. This deeply transformative experience led her to understand the power of yoga to transform our lives.
For Virginie, the magic of a yoga class is to share the ancient teachings and transpose them into our modern day and age to bring back a sense of connection to the Self and find our purpose. She believes in our potential to empower ourselves and live a more radiant, conscious and happy life.
Virginie’s classes incorporate a connection between breath & movement, mindful flow & internal experiences They are very accessible and yet powerful and transformative. This holistic practice of yoga is the perfect way to make you feel centred, connected and elevated.
Tej started her career as a marketing and advertising professional with the determination to climb the corporate ladder in the media industry. After giving birth to her first daughter, she started to practice yoga more – initially, with the intention to get back into shape. Little did she know then that she will fall in love with the practice and then enrol for a teacher training course to further deepen her own practice.
Since the first teacher training, she feels truly humbled and grateful for the way life has steered her life direction, where she feels with a clear conviction that yoga is an integral part of her life.
This stems from her inner confirmation that “this is what I am meant to do and this is where I am meant to be” - whether it is for her own personal practice or when she teaches and shares these practice with others.
It is her passion and prayer that she can connect to people and share her passion and love for yoga with them. She teaches with her heart by sharing the benefits of yoga that she has personally experienced, including how yoga has grounded her, uplifted her, taught her to look at life with a difference perspective, taught her to be mindful and present, enriched her understanding of others and most importantly, connect her to herself.
Tanya's journey into craniosacral work began in 1996 with these simple life-changing words: “Your biography becomes your biology” from Caroline Myss, renowned author and speaker for her works in human consciousness and mysticism. It redefined what health meant for her, and changed her understanding of how our attitudes, memories, beliefs and relationships are reflected in our physical bodies.
Tanya (also known as Bhakti) draws upon her experiences in life: growing up in multi-cultural backgrounds, having had a corporate career, being a mother of two, and her continuous studies in Hakomi psychotherapy, as a yoga teacher and Reiki Master, into her sessions. She counts Hugh Milne, Joyce Thom, Ellen Heed and Caroline Myss among her most influential teachers.
Tanya especially enjoys working with children.
